I look forward to getting to know you and hearing your thoughts on how Summit County government can serve you better.

For those of you who may not know me, I spent seven years as a member of Akron City Council while working as a teacher at both Stow High School and Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary’s. I was appointed last year to fill the vacancy in the Clerk’s office created by the retirement of Diana Zaleski and I believe that my experience has provided me a solid understanding of government finance and the regional issues affecting Akron and Summit County.

As your Summit County Clerk of Courts, I have worked hard to maintain the high level of service citizens have come to expect from the office and to make the office more convenient and accessible to those who use it. With that in mind we have established three Passport Services offices that include photo services at title bureau locations so that residents do not need to come downtown to get assistance in obtaining passports.

We have also implemented an electronic case management system to support our judicial system and the legal community that we believe will become a model for county clerks’ offices in the State of Ohio. We are leading Summit County’s efforts to establish credit/debit card payment systems for the services we provide. Our goal is to make our services as convenient as possible through the internet while taking great care to protect customers from identity theft.

In a short time, we have made great strides in improving the services we provide to the people of Summit County. We have launched an extensive Community Outreach program to make our citizens aware of the many forms of assistance they can receive from the office. I appreciate all the helpful suggestions I have received to date and I need your support to continue the progress we have made in making the office of the Summit County Clerk of Courts the best in Ohio.
